Dr. Smitha Anilkumar
Dr. Smitha Anilkumar is a physician specializing in non-invasive cardiology at Hamad Medical Corporation's Heart Hospital, where she has been employed since 2003. She has been leading departmental quality initiatives since 2008 and has earned a postgraduate degree in hospital administration, along with certifications in healthcare quality, including the Improvement Leadership and Improvement Specialist programs.
In recognition of her contributions to quality improvement and patient safety, Dr. Anilkumar received the Hamad Healthcare Quality Award in 2024. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she serves as the quality lead and infection control lead and is a member of various programs focused on patient satisfaction, hospital quality, and patient safety.
She is actively involved in driving Value Improvement Projects in Non-Invasive Cardiology and leads Driver 5 for Person-Centered Care (PCC) at Heart Hospital. Dr. Anilkumar is also engaged in community outreach and has received several honors, including the Humanity Award from the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) in Doha.
