Dr. Ibrahim Yousef Mahamoud
Dr. Ibrahim Yousef Mahamoud is an associate consultant in the geriatric department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, with over 20 years of experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, and palliative care. He serves as the focal point for end-of-life care within the Home Healthcare Service and is an active member of the mortality and morbidity, scientific, and educational committees.
Dr. Mahamoud holds advanced diplomas in geriatric medicine, dementia care, and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as a professional diploma in spiritual counseling in palliative care. A member of the Middle East Academy for Medicine of Ageing, his research explores bone health in older adults, deprescribing attitudes, and drug-related problems in home healthcare.
He has published in international journals and remains deeply engaged in clinical teaching, quality improvement, and healthcare management initiatives in both Qatar and Canada, helping to advance geriatric medicine across the region.
