Mercia Rekha Dsouza
Mercia Rekha Dsouza serves as a Nurse Educator at the Women's Wellness Research Center within Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar. With more than twenty years of combined academic and clinical experience, she specializes in obstetrics and gynecological nursing and is currently pursuing a doctorate in nursing.
Mercia is a certified nurse educator who emphasizes person-centered care and the development of educational programs designed to enhance nursing practice. Her clinical and research interests encompass maternal-child health, access to care, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. She has recently completed a mixed-methods study titled “Strengthening First-Time Fathers' Engagement in Newborn Care," which is aligned with the Care Partner Program, showcasing her commitment to inclusive family-centered care. She has also presented at HMC nursing grand rounds and has been selected as a speaker for the Middle East Forum 2024.
