Shyni Santhosh
Shyni Santhosh serves as a senior nurse educator in the mental health service at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. With over 20 years of experience in nursing education and a specialization in mental health nursing, she has established a strong foundation in the field. Shyni began her career as a staff nurse caring for women within the Mental Health Service. For the past three years, she has taken on a leadership role as Director of Nursing in Education, where she has organized the education team to provide robust educational support.
Her professional interests encompass women's and perinatal mental health, positive behavioral support, the intersection of physical and mental health, and learning disabilities. Shyni has played a significant role in the CPD accreditation process, ensuring alignment with the standards set by the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP). Additionally, she has actively engaged in the Person-Centered Care Forum and the Mental Health Conference. Committed to bridging the gap between education and practice, Shyni leads initiatives to develop nursing competencies that promote holistic, evidence-based care.
