Magda Attia Abdelkawy Aly Elmarakby
Magda Attia Abdelkawy Aly Elmarakby is the Director of Nursing for the Acute Geriatric Units at Rumailah Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alexandria University, Egypt (1992); a Diploma in Geriatrics and Gerontology from Beni-Suef University (2019); a Master of Science in Nursing from Beni-Suef University (2021); and completed a Person-Centered Care Fellowship in 2021.
Magda joined HMC in 2010 as a Charge Nurse at ENAYA SCC, progressing to Case Manager in 2011 and Head Nurse in 2013, where she served as a clinical champion and key driver of quality initiatives. She became Acting Director of Nursing in 2019, contributing to the opening of DAAM SCC in 2020 and RH-HDU in 2022. Her leadership has been recognized with the PCC Planetree International Award (2021), Head Nurse Excellence Award, and Director of Nursing Award (2022).
