Hajar Mowafaq Ruqibat
Hajar Mowafaq Ruqibat has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Hashemite University. She has 15 years of nursing experience, of which 13 years were spent at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
She began her clinical career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, serving as both staff nurse and charge nurse, developing advanced skills in caring for critically ill children. Currently, she is Head Nurse of the Pediatric Long-Term Care Unit 2, leading a multidisciplinary team providing specialized, family-centered care for children with chronic and complex conditions.
She has spearheaded quality improvement projects, including initiatives to prevent tracheostomy-related bleeding, and implemented patient engagement activities such as art and craft therapy.
In her leadership role, she focuses on advancing patient safety, driving quality improvement initiatives, and empowering nursing staff. She is also pursuing a master's degree in public health at Qatar University to integrate clinical expertise with population health strategies.
