Dr. Mohammed Shaheem Seere Valappil
Dr. Mohammed Shaheem Seere Valappil is a specialist in internal medicine with a dedicated focus on geriatric medicine. He completed his medical degree in 2009 and earned his master's in internal medicine in 2014 from Yenepoya Medical College in India.
Prior to joining HMC, he worked as a consultant in internal medicine in his hometown, emphasizing elderly care. In May 2022, he joined the Department of Geriatrics at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), where he took the lead at the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) clinic at Rumailah Hospital.
Dr. Valappil actively contributes to clinical quality and safety initiatives. He presented a poster at the Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare in 2023 and is a key member of the RH-GACU nurse-led antimicrobial stewardship program. Additionally, he serves as co-lead for the Sepsis Team at Rumailah Hospital, demonstrating his commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for older adults.
