Dr. Talat Chughtai, MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Talat Chughtai is a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon, with Fellowships in Critical Care Medicine and Trauma, who is presently a Senior Consultant in the Dept. of Surgery (Trauma), at Hamad General Hospital, in Doha, Qatar.
He was born in Montreal, Canada, where he completed his entire education, including graduating from McGill Medical School, and completing a Masters in Science in Epidemiology.
He completed his training in both Montreal (McGill University Health Centre) and Toronto (Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre). He worked at both the Montreal General Hospital as well as Sunnybrook Hospital, before moving to Doha.
He has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, and is actively involved in education, including medical students/interns/residents/fellows. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Qatar University College of Medicine.
