
Dr. Nick Castle PhD FIMC
Nick has over 35 years’ experience in healthcare that was spent mainly in the UK, South African and more recently at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. Nick’s primary interests are in resuscitation, emergency cardiology, prehospital care and medical management at mass gatherings. These areas of clinical interest are reflected in Nick’s wide research publication portfolio.
Nick is one of only four non-doctors to achieve accreditation as a Consultant in Prehospital Emergency Medicine from the Faculty of Prehospital Care, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Nick was awarded his PhD, in 2014, following his research into skill performance whilst wearing CBRN-PPE. Nick’s research was used during the UK’s preparations for the London Olympics as well as during the treatment of Ebola patients in Africa and resulted in him receiving the 2014 British Journal of Nursing Award for Innovation.
