Dr. Jihene Maatoug​

Jihene Maatoug is a consultant in the Department of Community medicine with more than 10 years of experience in teaching and involvement in research activities. 
She joined the PHCC since October 2021. She is a professor of Community and Preventive Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of Sousse Tunisia and was been the vice Dean of Research at the same faculty from 2018 to 2021. 
Her main research activities and projects were focused on the prevention of chronic disease risk factors. She participated in community-based interventions to reduce chronic disease risk factors in Tunisia. 
Dr Jihene has also an active participation in a reform of medical studies in the faculty of medicine of Sousse Tunisia emphasizing on the importance of public health in clinical education and training. She also participated in the accreditation working group of the Department of Community Medicine in Qatar. 

Dr. Jihene is a prolific author with numerous publications in reputable medical journals, addressing a wide range of public health topics, from smoking habits to school-based interventions and community program effectiveness. Her commitment to advancing healthcare and medical education reflects her dedication to enhancing the well-being of communities.
