
Dr. Ghadir Aljayyousi
Dr. Ghadir Al-Jayyousi is an Assistant Professor of Health Education and Promotion and the Training Coordinator in the Department of Public Health at Qatar University. She obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Jordan, MSc in Community Health Promotion from the University of Arkansas, USA, and a Ph.D. in Health Education from Kansas State University, USA.
Dr. Al-Jayyousi has been heavily invested in teaching, the development, and delivery of the Experiential Learning curriculum in the Department of Public Health. She has planned, organized and delivered health education and promotion events on the department, college, university, and community levels. She also delivered a variety of Continuous Professional Development sessions to healthcare providers in Qatar.
Dr. Al-Jayyousi’s research interests focus on youth and women’s health, social determinants of health, and interdisciplinary research. During her time at Qatar University, she has been actively involved in several scholarly activities by conducting research projects, publishing in international peer-reviewed journals, and disseminating her research findings in local and international conferences. She is the chair of the “Youth Wellbeing” research group and a member of the mental health and chronic pain research groups in QU Health.
