Khalid Bashir

Dr. Khalid Bashir has been serving as an emergency consultant since 2001, initially in the UK for a period of 12 years before relocating to Qatar in November 2012. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Hamad General Hospital, while also serving as the Department Head of Clinical Academic Sciences at The College of Medicine, Qatar University. In addition to successfully completing the American College of Emergency Physicians Teaching Fellowship, he holds fellowships with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, and the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Glasgow. During his time in the UK, he actively engaged in teaching undergraduate medical students from Cardiff and Swansea universities and served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. His areas of specialization include point of care ultrasound (POCUS), sports medicine, Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), and pre-hospital care.
