Prof. Takahiro Oto
Prof. Takahiro Oto is an internationally renowned expert in lung transplantation. He is the Director of Lung Transplant at Hamad Medical Corporation and Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. He had performed the first lung transplant in Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. He is an expert in brain-dead lung transplantation, living donor lung transplantation, adult and pediatric lung transplantation. Oto Procedure, a lung cancer surgery using various lung transplant techniques, is named after him.
