Ms. Hodan is a Clinical Midwife Specialist in Al Khor Hospital. She holds a BSc (hons) in Midwifery from the University of West London.
She has worked in several tertiary hospitals in London, including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Guys and St Thomas’ NHS trust and St Georges NHS trust where she provided prenatal, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
As a senior midwife, Ms. Hodan offered women-centred care and evidence-based practice, enabling the expectant mother to actively participate and make choices regarding the care that is being given. In order to promote safe clinical practise, she also encouraged and supported staff in the clinical areas.
Moreover, Ms. Hodan is a midwife sonographer and has an MSc in Medical Ultrasound. She has worked as a Midwife Sonographer for more than ten years where she worked in Fetal Medicine Unit and Woman’s ultrasound Department performing gynaecological, early-pregnancy, anomaly, and growth scans.
She had the opportunity to take part in various research projects within a reputable and established research unit in tertiary hospitals to raise the standard of patient management, care, and treatments and while working as a midwife and a sonographer. She participated in the following research study: Diagnostic Biomarker for Preterm Birth, Management of Obstetric Cholestasis and Intelligent Fetal Imaging and Diagnosis.
