Dr Habib Hasan Farooqui

Dr Habib Hasan Farooqui is a Faculty at the College of Medicine at Qatar University. He also serves as an adjunct Additional Professor of Health Economics at the Public Health Foundation of India. Previously, he worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2013-14) and a Surveillance Medical Officer at the World Health Organization (2007-08).

His research and teaching interests include EBM, the intersection of infectious disease epidemiology and economics, and health economics with a focus on pharmaceutical economics. 

He has served as a member and technical expert on several national and international advisory committees including IVIRAC-WHO-HQ; WHO-SEARO; WHO India; WHO Maldives; Chatham House, UK; Board of Immunisation Economics, USA; MOFHW in India and Maldives, and International Health Economics Association. 

He has supervised more than 30 master's level students, published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and serves as a reviewer and editor in top international journals.
