Ms. Mona Mamdouh Selim
Ms. Mona is currently the Head of Accreditation Program and Co-Chair of Facility Management & Safety Chapter (FMS) Corporate Committee. She has over 37 years of successful experience in the field of healthcare. She is an expert in regulatory and accreditation, quality management, facility management and safety and lean six sigma “Black Belt”. She is one of those who prepared for and headed the accreditation in achieving Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) at Hamad Medical Corporation since 2004.
Ms. Mona Mamdouh Selim has a strong clinical background of having worked as a head nurse in As Salam International Hospital, Al Fayrouz Private Hospital and Hamad General Hospital at Coronary Care Unit (CCU). She joined Quality Management Department in 2000 where she assessed in developing quality indicators, provided education and orientation to Hamad Medical Corporation employees in topics related to quality and safety.
Ms. Mamdouh joined the regulatory and accreditation department in 2004. With full knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation JCIA Standards (Hospitals, Medical Transport Services, Ambulatory Care, Home Care, Long term and Clinical Care Program Certification) she prepared Hamad Medical Corporation for Joint Commission International Survey by educating the staff on the standards requirements, policies/ programs, facilitated in preparing the required documents, guided in selecting quality indicators and monitoring, built staff awareness through multiple workshops and campaigns. As a certified internal surveyor, she conducted tracer rounds with multi-disciplinary team and presented the findings to the hospital(s) leadership for taking the necessary corrective action(s).
Ms. Mamdouh a lean six sigma black belt practitioner and an ISQUa fellow has applied lean principles and lean designs in the hospitals for better improving the services, quality improvement and safety.
