Dr. Yasser Hammad is a Senior Consultant Anesthesiologist and the lead of the Transplant Anesthesia Team at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), specializing in perioperative care for solid organ transplant recipients. He holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine from Alexandria University, Egypt, where he also serves as a Professor of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Hammad completed a fellowship in Liver Transplant Anesthesia through the Canadian Royal College of Anesthesiologists and is certified by the American National Board of Echocardiography in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).

He currently serves as the Corporate Lead for Quality Improvement and Performance Monitoring in the Department of Anesthesia at HMC and is the Program Director of both the Advanced Anesthesia Fellowship and the Sedation Certificate Program for Non-Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Hammad is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar and an active researcher with numerous publications in national and international journals, including studies on quality improvement, perioperative care, and transplant anesthesia.​​
