Prof. Raed M. Al-Zoubi is a Senior Research Scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Associate Professor of Medicinal and Bioorganic Chemistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Fellow of the University of Waterloo, and Adjunct Professor at Qatar University’s Department of Biomedical Sciences.
With over 18 years of research experience and more than 12 years in academia, Prof. Al-Zoubi’s work focuses on health-related challenges including biomarker discovery, biocatalysis, and drug development. He has authored over 110 peer-reviewed publications and highlights and holds four patent publications.
He earned his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2011. He has served in academic leadership roles including Chairman of the Department (2016–2018) and Assistant Dean (2012–2015). Prof. Al-Zoubi has received multiple honors and awards for his contributions to research and innovation in the fields of chemistry and biomedical science.
