Dr. Asma Ibrahim Eltahir is a clinical pharmacy specialist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), with focused expertise in anticoagulation and perioperative medicine. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Qatar University and a Clinical Pharmacy degree from Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan.
Dr. Asma began her clinical career at Khartoum Teaching Hospital as an Emergency and Drug Information Pharmacist before joining HMC in 2006. She has since developed extensive experience in outpatient care, sterile compounding, and clinical pharmacy services. She currently leads the Anticoagulation Clinic and serves as the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee Coordinator, alongside her role supporting the Acute Care Surgery team.
A committed educator, she serves as an advanced clinical instructor at Qatar University and mentor in the iPTEC program. Her research focuses on anticoagulation, pain management, and patient-reported outcomes. She is also a peer reviewer for several scientific journals and actively contributes to continuing professional development initiatives.
