Dr. Saloua Mohammed Al Kmissi is the Deputy Head of the Transfusion Medicine Division and Head of the Blood Donor Center of Hamad Medical Corporation. With extensive expertise in transfusion medicine and a deep commitment to patient care, she has established herself as a leader in the field. She is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA), and the European Bone Marrow (EBM) organization. Additionally, she plays a vital role in Hamad Medical Corporation as a member of both the Corporate Transfusion Committee and the Trauma Committee at HMC.
Dr. Saloua Mohammed Al Kmissi completed her medical education at Moscow University, where she specialized in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics. She further honed her skills as a resident in the Department of Bacteriology, Virology, Immunology and Hematology / Blood Bank. Her comprehensive training, combined with diverse professional experiences, has provided her with a unique perspective on transfusion medicine. She also enhanced her expertise through practical experience by participating in stem cell programs in the United Kingdom and apheresis programs in France. These experiences make her a valuable contributor to advancing best practices in the field of Transfusion.
