Dr R. Feghali is chief of laboratory and blood bank section at Lebanese American University Rizk Hospital and is clinical assistant professor at the Lebanese American University Gilbert and Rose Marie Chagoury School of Medicine. She obtained her M.D. degree from Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon, in 1993. Following her graduation, she completed a four-year residency program in clinical pathology at St Joseph University in Beirut, and another one-year residency program in Paris Hopital Pitie Salpetriere This was followed by a 2-years master's in public health in the Lebanese University. She also holds a subspecialty in Transfusion medicine from Universite Paris VI. She was appointed as Director of the blood services of the Lebanese Red Cross since 2014 She is also the coordinator of the “Lebanese Committee of Blood Transfusion" in the Ministry of Public Health who was in charge of the restructuration of the transfusion sector in the country, the writing of national regulations and policies in blood transfusion and the organization of the blood banks accreditation.
