
Dr. Ahmed Mansoor
Manager of National Blood Transfusion Center in Taiz, Yemen
Ahmed Abdullah Mansoor Ahmed was born on March 2, 1971, in Taiz, Yemen. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in medical laboratories from Sana’a University.
Ahmed began his career in 1995 at the Swedish Hospital in Taiz and later worked at the skin and sexually transmitted diseases hospital. Since 2001, he has been with the National Center Public Health Laboratory (NCPHL) in Taiz, becoming its Director in 2013. In 2019, he also became the Director of the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center in Taiz.
He has participated in numerous training programs and workshops, focusing on virology, HIV, malaria, and infection control. Ahmed has contributed to research projects on hepatitis A and schistosomiasis and has been an active lecturer at health institutes and universities.
Known for his dedication and collaborative spirit, Ahmed has played a significant role in public health initiatives in Yemen, including biosecurity, dengue fever control, and COVID-19 response.
