
Mr. Brendon Morris
Deputy Chief of Major Incident Preparedness and Resilience & Ambulance Service
Brendon Morris, serving as the Deputy Chief for Major Incident Preparedness and Resilience & Ambulance Service at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), leads the National Ambulance Service (HMC Ambulance Service) and oversees HMC’s contribution to the health sector’s Major Incident Preparedness and Resilience system. Since his arrival in Qatar in 2010, Brendon has played a significant role in the design and implementation of these critical systems.
Prior to his tenure in Qatar, Brendon accumulated vast experience with emergency services in over 65 countries, whilst working with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. With dual Master’s Degrees in Emergency Medical Care and Research, along with extensive graduate and undergraduate qualifications in Health Services and Emergency Management, Brendon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Brendon played a pivotal role in establishing and managing Qatar's isolation facilities. In addition, his leadership has been crucial in ensuring the country's readiness for major events and mass gatherings, such as the FIFA World Cup 2022, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, United Nations Climate Change COP 18, World Aquatic and Athletic Championships, and numerous other premier sporting and motorsport events and conferences. Brendon is also a published author of both books and peer-reviewed articles."
