Dr. Supriya Bezbaruah

Dr. Supriya Bezbaruah is currently Team Lead, Science and Knowledge Translation, at the WHO Health Emergencies Programme.  She started her career as a scientist, and her interest is in science and society.  She has over 15 years' experience in public health risk communication for emergencies, and prior to joining WHO HQ, was formerly lead for Risk Communication and Community Engagement for Health Emergencies in the WHO South-East Asia Region.  Previously, she has also worked on policy-advocacy for vaccines in Asia as Senior Director in the international health consultancy firm, Global Health Strategies. Supriya has a PhD in molecular biology from University College London and a Master's in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
