Dr. Deepti Kumar
Deepti Kumar has many years of public health experience in the UK in key roles, with a focus on Tuberculosis. She is currently the Strategic Lead for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Test &Trace Operations Cell (TTOC) and the Strategic Lead for the UK International Traveller Contact Tracing Team. She provides strategic public health leadership to the national contact tracing programme for COVID-19 and the UK programme for testing international arrivals for COVID-19. The TTOC was established as a national response structure for COVID-19. There are several workstreams in TTOC, including the Contact Tracing Advisory Service, Contact Tracing Data Management, Enhanced Contact Tracing, Laboratory Surveillance, Scripts & Guidance, and the International Traveller Contact Tracing. She is currently working on a strategy for embedding COVID-19 legacy, the lessons learnt during the pandemic with a focus on contact tracing and the functions delivered by the TTOC into business-as-usual UKHSA structures.
