Dr. Ali Ibrahim Rahil is a Libyan national who graduated from Al Arab Medical University in Benghazi, Libya in 1994. He obtained his CABIM (Arab board) in 2001, MRCP (UK)in 2003 and then FRCP(Edinb) in 2013.
He is currently working as consultant in Internal Medicine leading a team of in-patient care and running an out-patient clinic on a weekly basis at Hamad Medical Corporation.
He is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar where he teaches medical students during their in-patient clerkship.
He has also held the position of associate program director of Internal Medicine residency program for the last four years where he supervises the educational activities of the program.
Dr. Rahil is the chairman of the guidelines committee of the Internal Medicine department and member of Hamad General Hospital guidelines committee as well as the corporate guidelines committee.
He is heavily involved in clinical teaching of medical students and residents and has obtained several awards of best teacher in Hamad General Hospital as well as excellence in teaching awards from WCMC-Q (best teacher in the medicine department for five successive years and seven awards from WCMC-Q).
He is an Arab board examiner and currently being considered for RCP examiner.
He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals with around 1-2 publications per annum.
