Dr. Ben Turner
Dr. Ben Turner was a student at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London and obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees in 1991. He completed a Doctorate of Medicine at Nottingham University titled 'Magnetic Resonance Scanning in Multiple Sclerosis’ and remained in Nottingham to train as a Clinical Neurologist. In 2003, Dr. Turner was appointed Consultant Neurologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. Dr. Turner has been clinical lead and practices General Neurology with sub-speciality interests in MS and Neuro-ophthalmology.
Dr. Turner is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London and Neurology and is Lead for the Clinical Research Centre, acting as UK Chief and Principle Investigator for over 10 phase III trials in MS. He also works closely with The Blizard Institute of Cell and Molecular Science on basic science and translational research into MS.
