Almehdi Mohamed Errayes, MBBS, CABMS

Dr. Errayes graduated from Tripoli Medical School in 1988, completed his training in the UK and was awarded the Diploma in Internal Medicine in 1996, from Hammersmith Hospital, University of London, UK. In 1997 he was awarded the Arab Board of Medical Specialization in Internal Medicine and in 1998 joined the Department of Medicine, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar, working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Division of General Internal Medicine.

He is currently a Senior Consultant in the Department of Medicine – Internal Medicine, also holding an academic position in Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar since 2006 and is currently working as Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine.

During his work at Hamad General Hospital, HMC he has been involved in the changes and developments to achieve JCI accreditation and worked to credit the Internal Medicine Residency Program to the ACGME-I.

His special interest is teaching and improving the patient's quality of care, in addition to internal and critical care medicine. He has received numbers of awards and has published articles in peer reviewed medical journals.
