She obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1992. She finished her post-graduate studies in Canada and received the Specialty Certificate in Internal Medicine/Hematology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Toronto, Canada in 2000. She obtained additional certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Clinical Hematology and Medical Oncology, Toronto, Canada in 2000/2001/2004. Dr. Salha has been appointed as Consultant in Haematology/Oncology in Hamad General Hospital from February 2003 to 2005 then promoted as Sr. Consultant in Haematology/Oncology in NCCCR in 2005. She is member at International Oncology Societies such ESMO, ASCO, in addition to International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Scientific Council. She has also been appointed as member of clinical committee in Qatar Precision Medicine Institute (QPMI). She served on many HMC committees Her research activities focused in breast, gynaecological malignancy, and cancer genetics. She has multiple active grants from QNRF. She has been an author for several publications and guidelines. She established multiple services unique to cancer program one of those is ACGME-I Accredited Medical Oncology Fellowship. She is a founder of hospital based standard risk Breast Cancer Screening in 2008 and founder of Hereditary Cancer Genetic Program in 2013, Breast Tumour Board in 2005.
In addition, she is Chair of Organizing Committee of Annual Breast Cancer Conference which is held regularly in month of October for the last 7 consecutive years.
