Dr Ashraf Awad
Dr. Ashraf Awad is a Medical Oncologist. Since 2007, he is working in the Department of Medical Oncology in National Centre for Cancer Care and Research in Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar. He was born in Sudan. He graduated from the Donetsk State Medical University in Ukraine in 1996.Dr. Ashraf had a four-year training in General and Surgical Oncology in The Kyiv Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education.
He worked in the Unit of Breast Tumors in the National Cancer Institute in Kyiv 2001 to 2006.
In June 2006, Dr. Ashraf obtained the PhD degree in Oncology from the Kavetski Institute for Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology, in the Ukraine Academy of Science.
His main research interests are: Advanced Breast Cancer, Rare Tumors, Antitumor Vaccines, and Cancer Immunology. He has contributed to over 17 publications, as well as 2 registered patents as first or last author.
Dr. Ashraf got his ESMO Certificate of Medical Oncology in Madrid in 2014. He is serving as the ESMO regional representative in the Middle East from 2009 up to 2015.
