Kakil Ibrahim Rasul
Dr. Kakil is a Senior Consultant, Medical Oncologist at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research, Hamad Medical Corporation Qatar and Associate Professor in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine College, Qatar.
He leads the Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Multidisciplinary Team and is a core member of the Gastrointestinal Multidisciplinary Team in Hamad Medical Corporation. He chairs the National Clinical Advisory Group for Gastro Intestinal Cancer at the Ministry of Public Health and is an active member of the National Clinical Management Guidelines Group for GI cancers in Qatar as well as sitting on the MENA-NCCN guidelines panels for development of the guideline modifications.
His qualifications include M,B.Ch.B. from the College of Medicine, University of Mosul , Certificate of Arab Board for Medical Specialization, Baghdad, Iraq, MRCP (UK), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon of Glasgow (U.K), FRCP Edin (UK) Royal College of Physician, Edinburgh (U.K).
He is an active member of ESMO and ASCO and has ESMO Certification from 2004 which was recertified in 2009.
He is a reviewer for many journals such as the British Journal of Medicine Research, the Saudi Medical Journal, the Annals of Saudi Medicine and Qatar Medical Journal as well as being a member of the editorial board for the World Journal of Oncology Research and Advances in Modern Oncology Research Journal.
He is regularly invited to speak at many international and regional conferences and has published around 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
