Dr. Shablak finished Medicine at Tishreen University in Syria before moving to the UK to train as a general physician. He later trained as a Medical Oncologist at St. James's Oncology Centre in Leeds before moving to the University Hospital of Southampton to work as a consultant in medical oncology. HIs subspecialty clinical interests include Colorectal, Upper GI and HBP cancers as well as Acute Oncology. He has a personal interest in academic medicine, particularly Cancer Immunotherapy. He completed an MSc in Immunology and MD (by Research) in Cancer Immunotherapy from the Universities of Oxford and Manchester, respectively. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal publications and presented at national and international conferences. In late 2020, he moved to the State of Qatar where he is currently working as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research.
