Dr. Anas Hamad
Dr. Anas is currently the Deputy Chief of the Drug Supply Department at Hamad Medical Corporation. He holds a position at Qatar University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Practice. In addition, he is the Chair of the Standing Committee on Medication Services at Qatar Red Crescent Society. He is the Vice President and Director of ISPOR Qatar Chapter. He is also the Vice President of the Hospital Pharmacy Section at the International Pharmaceutical Federation for EMRO Region.
Dr. Anas completed his BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. He obtained an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice & Policy from the University of London and a PhD in Clinical Practice and Medication Use from King's College London. He earned an Executive Diploma in Health Services Management from GSM London. He completed the Executive Leaders Program at Qatar Leadership Centre.
Dr. Anas is an active researcher with several publications and conference proceedings. He regularly speaks at local and international conferences. He is an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and a Review Editor at Frontiers in Oncology. He is a member of both HMC’s and QU’s Institutional Review Boards in addition to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) National Clinical Research Review Committee.
Moreover, he is a member of various committees/boards focusing on pharmacy practice, medication use, cancer care, research, safety & quality, medical affairs, healthcare education, health economics, governmental tenders, clinical transformation, and health insurance.
