Zsolt Balogh
Zsolt J. Balogh is a trauma surgeon and trauma scientist. He is the director of trauma and professor of Surgery at John Hunter Hospital and University of Newcastle, Australia. Professor Balogh's main clinical and research interest are polytrauma, traumatic shock, pelvic and acetabular fracture, and major orthopaedic trauma management. He is the chair of the Australasian Trauma Care Verification Program, editor of several scientific journals and the convenor of the Master of Traumatology postgraduate program at the University of Newcastle. He is leading the injury and trauma research program within the Hunter Medical Research Institute with focus on inflammatory response and regeneration in polytrauma.
