
Dr. Ahmed Naiem
Ahmed Naiem is a vascular and endovascular surgeon working at the Ministry of Health in Muscat, Oman. Dr. Naiem completed his M.D. degree (Distinction with Honors) at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. He then completed an integrated vascular surgery residency at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Naiem serves as an executive board member in the Oman Vascular Society. He is also a member in the Society for Vascular Surgery, Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery, European Society for Vascular Surgery amongst other societies. He had multiple podium presentations at both national and international meetings including a nomination for the 2019 Bayer-Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery Research Award. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications focusing on chronic limb-threatening ischemia, limb preservation, and the impact of obesity on vascular diseases. Dr. Naiem has also received the 2022 Kent MacKenzie Award for Educational Leadership and Excellence in Surgery and the 2021 McGill University Transition to Clinical Practice (TCP) Surgery Resident Teaching Award.
