Dr. Ahmed Hassoon​

​Dr. Ahmed Hassoon is research focuses on clinical research and public health policy, particularly in harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence, advanced computation, and big data analytics to elevate health outcomes. His primary role at the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is complemented by a joint position at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

He is a member of the Armstrong Institute's Center for Diagnostic Excellence and an IHI Fellow for 2023-2024, Dr. Hassoon plays a critical role in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and safety on a systemic scale. He is adept in the development and application of big data analytic tools, which have been integral to the Johns Hopkins Health System, including the adoption of a national diagnostic performance dashboard. 

His expertise in big data and public health policy also informed his leadership as the lead analyst for the Qatar Public Health Strategy 2017-2022."
