Jerome Oquiana works at QRC since 2010 and is currently the Chief Nurse since 2015. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Arts in Nursing Administration from the Philippines. He is about to complete his Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing by 2021.
Mr. Jerome serves as the team leader of the QRC Medical Intervention/Field hospital team and has been deployed in various countries for disaster relief. He has received international training for disaster management which made him instrumental in the establishment of the QRC Covid-19 Quarantine facility during the start of the pandemic. Since 2015, he is also part of the QRC Training, Research and Development Center spearheading the courses on Nursing Leadership, First Aid, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Mr. Jerome has dedicated his nursing profession in inspiring fellow nurses to always strive for excellence. He embodies the seven (7) fundamental principles (Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement and is guided by its values and practices.
