Mr. Amer Abu Aljoud
Head Nurse -Trauma Surgery Unit
Mr. Amer was appointed as charge nurse at HGH, Trauma surgery unit in March 2012 and moved to the role of head nurse in trauma surgery unit (TSU) since June 2015. His main role is to lead, develop, support and direction for TSU staff, assuming responsibility and accountability for the delivery of evidence-based best practice and high-quality nursing care to all patients.
Prior to his current job, he was worked in different health care organizations in Jordan and Saudi Arabia. His clinical expertise and managerial roles have been in the different units such as surgical ICU, surgical ward, orthopedic and neurosurgical ward.
Mr. Amer studied BSc in Nursing at Jordan University and he has already 15 years of nursing experience. He is in the final module to complete MSc in International Healthcare Management at the University of Essex- UK. He attended and participated as speaker in several conference local and international such as, 1st Qatar Acute Surgery Symposium 2016, World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine 2018 and Trauma Nursing Symposium 2019. He has completed various courses such as ATLS, ALS, CITI, leadership courses, critical care foundation program among others.
