Dr. Said Al Kindi is a Haematologist from Oman, where he has been working in the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital as clinical haematologist and laboratory hematopathologist.
He graduated from the College of Medicine Sultan at the Sultan Qaboos University in 2005. After completing his internship, he joined the Hematology residency program under Oman Medical Specialty Board OMSB which he completed in 2013. He attained associate membership of the Royal College of Pathologist (UK), combining clinical and laboratory haematology. He also completed a fellowship in thrombosis and haemostasis at McMaster University-Canada in early 2016.

Dr. Said Al Kindi’s areas of expertise are in thrombosis, bleeding disorders and laboratory haemostasis-thrombosis testing.  He also has a special interest in flow cytometry testing. He is additionally interested in health systems management and is currently doing a master in health management and published in the field of health management.

Dr. Said Al Kindi published articles on sickle cell disease during his residency and more recently in the area of thrombosis in cancer setting. He received the first prize in the oral research presentation in Oman Medical Specialty Board and received the American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement Award during his fellowship.  Dr Said is a member of Oman National Committee in standards of coagulation testing. He developed a thromboprophylaxis guideline for regional hospitals in Oman. He contributed to different national conferences and activities in his country- Oman.
