Abdul Rouf, PhD is the Assistant Director of the Pharmacy Department at Women’s Hospital in addition to his extended role as a Drug Information Supervisor. He specializes in Medication safety practices including Adverse Drug Reactions, Medication Error. His specific interest is in advancing an evidence-based approach in the development of policies and guidelines in areas related to obstetric and genecology. Dr Rouf has completed his MPharm in General Pharmacology from India; he also attained an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology and PhD in Complementary and Alternative Medications from University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom. His Doctoral thesis specializes in Safety of Complementary and Alternative Medications in Pregnancy. He has also received hands on training in Pharmacovigilance from Uppsala Monitoring Center - WHO, Sweden.
Dr. Rouf has authored in several publications, and serves as reviewer for the numerous international high impact journals. Dr. Rouf also served as a speaker, presenter and scientific committee member in several national and international conferences/events. He is also the head of the Women’s Hospital Research Committee.
