Prof. Malik E. Juweid, M.D., ABNM

Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology, University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan.
Prof. Malik Juweid graduated from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and completed his basic training in 1989. He worked in the US for over 20 years and was on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Iowa. Currently, he heads the University department in Amman, Jordan. He has 125 full publications, 7 book chapters, and several reviews to his credit. He has expertise in conventional and hybrid nuclear medicine imaging and therapies. He has been a member of SNMMI and other professional organizations on reviewing practice guidelines. Prof. Juweid will talk on:
- Hepatobiliary scintigraphy for assessment of chronic acalculous cholecystitis
- Brain perfusion imaging for noninvasive detection of epileptogenic lesions
- Radioiodine therapy of hyperthyroidism
