Prof. Lionel Zuckier is an academic nuclear physician with extensive clinical experience and in hybrid and conventional nuclear medicine. He has published widely in basic science and clinical topics in nuclear medicine, including editing special journal issues and textbooks, and contributing to the early nuclear medicine literature regarding best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.
Prof. Zuckier has been a member of numerous nuclear medicine and radiology editorial boards, served as an examiner and content provider for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada) and the American Board of Radiology, and been a member of the Board of Directors of the General Clinical Nuclear Medicine Council of the SNMMI, where he currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer.
Prior to returning to the United States in 2018, Dr. Zuckier was Division Head of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Ottawa where he had the pleasure of mentoring numerous nuclear medicine trainees from the Gulf States.
