Huda Amer Al-Katheeri is the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Department at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Qatar. She leads the development, implementation and monitoring the performance of the National Health Strategies (NHS). Her passion in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety has led the development of a national monitoring and evaluation program for healthcare services across the country; Health Service Performance Agreement (HSPAs) Program, National Clinical Guidelines (NCG) program, National Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) program and National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Program. She is known to be a dedicated and enthusiastic healthcare professional with a holistic vision in advancing healthcare quality and patient safety across the system in Qatar.

Huda has authored numerous quality and patient safety articles. In addition, she is an active member in various national committees where she provides guidance and strategic direction in the State of Qatar, such as Permanent Licensing Committee (PLC), National Screening Committee, NHS Steering Group, National Oral Health Working Group, National IPC Committee, National AMR Committee, Performance appraisal Committee, Appeal Committee, etc.

Huda Al-Katheeri holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Qatar, Masters of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London, Master’s Degree in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and Institute of Leadership and Professional Diploma: Epidemiology in Action from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
