Dr. Aftab Mohammad Azad

MD, ArBEM, FRCPC (UK) FRCPC

Graduated from McGill Emergency Medicine Residency Program - Montreal, Canada in 2015, and joined Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School for Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship.

He was designated as the Site Director for HMC and First Regional Director of CEUS for the Middle East in March 2014. He is involved in teaching Point of Care Ultrasound Courses at international level since 2013.

He received the award of Honor to be First Qatari Citizen who graduated from North American Emergency Medicine Training Programs in 2016.
Currently he is working as an attending physician (Senior Consultant) in Emergency Medicine as well as Sports Medicine. He is the first Qatar physician holding EM and Sports Medicine credentials from North America. He is the Deputy Chairman Emergency Department at corporate level, Director of Emergency Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound, Associate Program Director of Emergency Medicine Residency, Assistant Professor at Weil Cornell Medical College Qatar & College of Medicine Qatar University, and a member of curriculum development faculty at Weil Cornell Medical College Qatar. He has also been appointed as Member Board of Directors – Gulf Federation of Emergency Medicine. He was nominated as Co-chairman of National Task Force Toxicology Committee at MOPH Qatar. He is also Covid-19 Lead for Corporate Department of Emergency Medicine and member of HMC – SWICC committee for Covid-19.
