Brig. General Ioannis is a Greek retired military physician specializing in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Since 2001, he has been involved in CBRNE operations as planner and instructor trained (including live agent training) in a number of countries abroad. During 2004 Athens Olympics, he served as Commandant of the Olympic Hospital CBRN Resp Unit. He holds an MSc. on “International Terrorism, Organized Crime and Global Security” (Coventry University, UK) and he is a Ph.D. candidate (Athens Medical School). His last assignment was as Head of the Dept. of Asymmetric Threats, Joint Mil Intel Service, Hell National Def Gen Staff. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of the online “C2BRNE Diary”; a Senior Research Associate @ "Center for Security Studies" (KEMEA), Hell MoI; a member of the Didactical Board of Univ of Rome "Tor Vergata" for "International CBRNe Masters" programs; a CBRN consultant @ Emergency Department, Gemelli Policlinico, Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Rome; the Manager of the CBRN Knowledge Center @ International CBNE Institute (Belgium) and Senior CBRN Consultant @ HotZone Solutions Group (The Netherlands).
