Dr. Eyad Elkord is Principal Investigator at Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, Qatar and Honorary Professor at the Institute of Cancer Sciences-University of Manchester, UK.
Dr. Eyad Elkord received his BSc in 1995 from Al-Quds University, Jerusalem, Palestine, MPhil in 2001 from Bergen University (Norway) and PhD in Tumor Immunology in 2005 from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff University (UK).
He was a Postdoctoral Scientist and Research Fellow/Group Leader of the Clinical Immunotherapy Laboratory at the University of Manchester, Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, University of Manchester (UK).
He has held Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions with the School of Environment & Life Sciences, University of Salford and has been Associate Professor of Immunology at the College of Medicine & Health Sciences-United Arab Emirates University (2012 - 2016.)
Dr. Elkord has more than 60 publications in peer reviewed high-impact international journals and is an editorial board member for international journals such as BMC Cancer and Journal of Immunology Research. He is an ad hoc reviewer to several journals and grant bodies including Medical Research Council, Wellcome Trust, Yorkshire Cancer Research, Leukaemia Lymphoma Research and Qatar Foundation.
Dr. Elkord’s research in the area of T regulatory cells is well recognised and he has edited an eBook for Frontiers in Immunology in 2013.
