Prof. Bateman,
Co-Director of Cardiovascular Radiologic Imaging at the Mid America Heart Institute and the Saint Luke’s Health System, Kansas City, and Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine, USA
 
Dr. Bateman is a past president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Cardiovascular Council of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and of the CT Section of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. He has been an editorial consultant for eleven major medical journals and has authored/coauthored over 750 book chapters, peer reviewed publications and abstracts. 

He has been honored with numerous awards, including “50 Best Doctors in Kansas City” on numerous occasions and the Distinguished Service Award of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. His practice commitment and research interests are focused on appropriate utilization and optimization of cardiac imaging technologies for answering major clinical questions.
