
Dr. Hatem Zayed (Qatar-QU)
Dr. Hatem Zayed is an Associate Professor at the Biomedical Sciences College of Health Sciences at Qatar University. He did his Ph.D. in molecular medicine (genetic therapy) at the Free University of Berlin, Germany.
Dr. Zayed got his professional training in Stem-cells based gene therapy at the University of Minnesota twin cities, in medical genetics at the University of California Medical School, San Francisco, California, and in clinical molecular genetics at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA.
Dr. Zayed had experience in the industry in Lentigen Corporation (Miltenyi Biotec) and Genzyme Genetics (LabCorp), where he worked in genetic therapy and clinical molecular diagnostics. He has extensive experience studying the genetic etiology of genetic diseases using state-of-the-art genomic technology.
Currently, Dr. Zayed is working in genomic medicine, precision medicine, molecular oncology, and structural bioinformatics.
