Dr. Charbel Abi Khalil (Qatar-HMC/WCMC-Q)

Policy and management. Dr. Charbel Abi Khalil, MD/Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Genetic medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q). Dr. Abi Khalil holds an M.D., a Ph.D., and an Executive Master in health economics. 

Before joining WCM-Q, he served as a Clinical Research Fellow at Hôpital Bichat - Claude-Bernard/INSERM U695-French Institute of Health and Medical Research in Paris, a Cardiology Fellow at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, and a Fellow in Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine- New York. 

Although Dr. Abi Khalil’s clinical training is in cardiology, his research studies have focused on various biomedical specialties, particularly cardiovascular disease, genetics, and COVID-19. He was awarded over seven grants and was the recipient of the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award twice.
