Dr. Muna Al Maslamani MBBS, CABMS, MSc-HCM-RCSI
Medical Director of Communicable Disease Center and Assistant Head of Infectious Diseases Division–Medicine Department at Hamad General Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar.
She is a Senior Consultant in Transplant Infectious Diseases for the Division. Dr. Muna added an Msc-HealthCare Management (RCSI-Bahrain) and IHI Fellowship (Institute of Healthcare Improvement & Hamad Medical Corporation) in 2015 to her list of educational achievements which includes MBBS (KFU-KSA,1997), Certification Arab Board Medical Specialization-Internal Medicine (CABMS-Internal Medicine-Syria,2002), Certification of Complete HMC-Infectious Disease Fellowship Training Program (HMC-IDFTP-Qatar,2006). Apart from clinical responsibilities, she also holds various administrative and academic positions in and outside HMC, namely Vice Chairperson for Quality and Patient Safety–Medicine, Fellowship Program Director for Infectious Diseases, Associate Program Director for Transitional Year and also as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q). In 2010, Dr. Muna was appointed Chairperson of Medical Research Committee and Vice-Chairperson of Medical Research Center. Dr. Muna was elected as Assistant Chairperson-Department of Internal Medicine from October 2006 till September 2012, then Acting Chairperson Department of Internal Medicine till December 2012. She is part of various hospital committees and a member of American College of Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society of America, Transplant Infectious Diseases Society and Immunocompromised Host Society.
